Quest Software Announces The Expert Conference 2010

Event to Include First SharePoint Conference; Call for Papers Now Open

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., July 23, 2009 – Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT) today announced that the ninth annual The Experts Conference (TEC) 2010 will be held in Los Angeles April 25 –28, 2010, at the JW Marriott. TEC is an advanced training event focused on furthering the skills of the most experienced users of Microsoft® Identity and Access, Microsoft Exchange Server and, for the first time, Microsoft SharePoint® technologies.

Produced since 2002 and previously known as the Directory Experts Conference (DEC), TEC was rebranded in 2009 when TEC for Exchange was added to meet the need for advanced training on Microsoft messaging technologies. TEC 2010 will address the growing demand for 400-level SharePoint training when it launches TEC for SharePoint.

Quest has opened its “Call for Papers” and is accepting proposals that address the technology focus of the three distinct conferences. Individuals who wish to present must submit proposals by 7 p.m. EDT Aug. 25, 2009. See details at www.tec2010.com. Selections will be announced Sept. 16, 2009, when Quest unveils the conference agendas and opens registration.

TEC for Directory & Identity 2010 will provide advanced education on business-critical identity and access management (IAM) technologies including Active Directory®, Forefront™ Lifecycle Manager (formerly Identity Lifecycle Manager) and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). TEC for Exchange 2010 will deliver intense training and keynotes focused on cutting-edge education about Exchange 2010, as well as powerful networking and training on everything from Exchange development and scripting to archiving, recovery and storage. TEC for SharePoint 2010 will feature expert guidance to maximize current investments, and look ahead to SharePoint 2010.

“TEC was developed to enable IT pros to learn from the best of the best in the industry, including Microsoft MVPs, program managers and leading authorities,” said Quest chief architect and conference founder, Gil Kirkpatrick. “We remain faithful to that charter by providing deep technical training that delegates can’t get anywhere else. TEC is growing to meet the educational needs of our market, but our focus remains on advanced training excellence.”

TEC is presented by Quest and Microsoft. Admission is offered on a tiered pricing schedule that includes all food, beverages and conference materials. For more information about pricing, please visit www.tec2010.com. Industry vendors interested in sponsoring TEC 2010 also are encouraged to visit the Web site.

TEC 2010 follows the success of the March 2009 North American conference in Las Vegas. Quest will host TEC Europe 2009 Sept. 14 - 16 in Berlin, Germany. TEC Europe features conferences for both Directory & Identity and Exchange, and is sponsored by Microsoft. For more information and updates on all TEC conferences, follow @TECconf on Twitter.
